ABSTRACT
Like us, chimpanzees are clearly interested in the shape and form of all sorts of objects they might fi nd. In their interactions with them they uncover their main characteristics, features and axes. Earlier on we noted that some of the actions they perform upon objects might form the precursors for strategies of measurement.
