The child-centered play therapy skills, concepts, and attitudes taught in Child Parent Relationship Therapy are presented in this chapter in greater detail to provide the filial therapist with a theoretical framework and a deeper understanding of these principles and procedures. Experienced play therapists who are well grounded in the child-centered theoretical approach are likely already familiar with these basic skills and concepts. For these play therapists, this information can serve as a review of the necessary skills and concepts to be taught in the 10-session CPRT model.
