ABSTRACT

The processes and outcomes of twenty sessions of sandplay therapy for each of ten elementary-school children were studied. The subjects were identified by the school social worker as the children who most needed mental health services. Pre-and post-therapy assessments included the Children Depression Inventory, Rorschach (Exner Method), Teacher’s Report Form, and HouseTree-Person drawings. In addition, all of the therapists were asked to report on the changes they saw in their subjects.
