ABSTRACT

Teeth clenched, my hands shake slightly. I feel a tremendous surge of adrenaline. I can’t believe my eyes. Perhaps the light is not good here, or perhaps I’m holding this little white plastic stick at a bad angle. No. NO. Different lights and different angles lead to the same conclusion. There’s no doubt about it, a blue line defi nitely appears where before there was none. The unthinkable, the unplanned, the unwanted is now a concrete reality: pregnancy. What will I do? Who can I tell? What will they say? The questions come too fast to answer.
