ABSTRACT
For individuals who establish themselves on marriage as permanent members of an extended household, these obligations are shared among more people, but such an established household usually has more obligations with other such units than a new one would have. Regular visits are required or received at New Year and Bon, ancestor memorials must be remembered, and due attention must be paid to all life crises within the network of related households.
