ABSTRACT
This chapter investigates the link between CLD and school effectiveness and improvement. Following this, we adapt a generic school improvement model and show how it can be used to improve and strengthen the effectiveness of CLD. We examine self-evaluation, quality assurance and inspection as three main ways of securing effectiveness and improvement in CLD. The chapter concludes with reflections on the benefits of having a CLD effectiveness and improvement strategy.
