ABSTRACT
THIS succession of misfortunes induced the old Kita no Kata to hurry along the reconstruction of the house at Sanjō so that she could move into it in the Sixth Month, for she believed that it was owing to the unlucky position of the old mansion that these mishaps had occurred.
