ABSTRACT
Elliot Aronson probably needs no introduction. Still, he deserves one and is going to get one. The three of us are well placed to edit this Festschrift volume in honor of his life and work; we love social psychology, we love writing and teaching, and we love him. It’s true that one of us has an edge in his personal familiarity with Elliot, given he first met the honoree upon being born. But we other two have cultivated friendships and professional partnerships with the man going back some 30 years, so we know a little something about him.
