ABSTRACT
Beginning with Chapter 3, this book revolves around college students’ narrative accounts of their divorce-related experiences. In this chapter, we provide an overview of a theoretical approach that we believe helps us understand the meaning and significance of the students’ accounts; provide a rationale for our decision to present these narrative accounts; describe the methods used to gather, analyze, and report the students’ narrative accounts; and share some caveats regarding drawing inferences from these accounts.
