ABSTRACT

On the 28th, an English sloop of war, with some Spanish gunboats, cannonaded Fort St. Jerome.

On the 17th, a schooner, with provisions on board, from Cura^a, entered the harbour. The boats of the English brig attempted to cut her off, but an armed felucca came out to her assistance, and forced the boats to retreat. The success of the French on this occasion gave rise to a pompous eulogium upon the captain of the felucca in their gazette.
