ABSTRACT
Not all religious traditions believe the same or even similar things about dying,
death, afterlife, and funeral/memorial practices. One tradition believes that death is
part of the cycle of life-birth/death/rebirth-whereas another tradition believes
that death is a translation from the physical life to the spiritual life. Then, one
tradition believes in reincarnation, another immortality of the soul, and another
resurrection of the physical body.
