This major book provides the most comprehensive guide available to nineteenth and twentieth century wars and their settlement. Erik Goldstein covers all aspects of over one hundred wars. He examines the deeper origins of the conflict, the immediate reason for the outbreak of hostilities, the course of the fighting, and the terms of the settlement.
