ABSTRACT
This became effective from 27 May 2002 and replaced the original C o d e of Practice issued in 1996. The original C o d e was revised in the light of the experience gained since the introduction of the first duties of the DDA in 1996. The revised version takes into account the duties placed on service providers, which come into force on 1 October 2004, to make adjustments to physical features on their premises which are barriers to access for disabled people.
