Improving the Educational Effectiveness of Television Case-Studies and Documentaries

At the Open University, most of the programmes we examined in this study were termed ‘case-study’. This term has been used very loosely to cover a wide range of programme styles, course designs and teaching functions. It is often used instead of the more accurate term, ‘documentary’.
