ABSTRACT
In distance education, a communications medium enables the learning group to be dispersed in time and/or space so that the educational interaction can take place at a distance. In recent decades, wonderful new electronics communications technologies have been added to the original mechanical media which are still, no doubt, being used with success in many parts of the world.
