ABSTRACT
The first (anonymous) poem and the second, by Thomas Creech (1659–1700), who became a Fellow of All Souls in 1683, were published in the first edition of Religio Laici or A Laymans Faith. A Poem (1682). The third piece, by Wentworth Dillon, 4th Earl of Roscommon (1633?–85), appeared with the anonymous fourth one in Miscellany Poems … By the most Eminent Hands (Tonson, 1684), pp. 190–6.
