ABSTRACT
Cole (1889-1959), English socialist, labour historian, lecturer, author and journalist, was Professor of Political Theory at Oxford. Cole was the leading writer and propagandist of Guild Socialism, and was president of the British Fabian Society from 1952 until his death. He was co-editor of Oxford Poetry 1914.
