ABSTRACT

Criticism is a function of Christianity. To be effective, it must be based on a clear-cut set of values and a knowledge of the facts about man and the social order in which he lives. The Christian ethic is a statement of the values to which a Christian is committed. It has been suggested that these values include equality, freedom, collective responsibility and universality. It is now our task to look at the facts of American society, specifically in its economic phases. How good is our economic order from the standpoint of Christian ethical values?
