ABSTRACT
Democracy calls for fully developed and happy personalities. The most important factor contributing to this end is the attitudes of parents. Work with maladjusted children in clinics has commonly led to a study of the parents themselves and the love relationship between them, for it was found that herein lay the key to the remedy. The child at first was the patient, but soon it was found to be the marriage of the parents which was sick. As we have seen, in modern urban, liberal society, the health of a marriage depends, more directly and to a greater degree than in earlier days, upon satisfying love.
