ABSTRACT
I Propose to give you the general principles underlying the treatment of the psychoneurotic. I shall first make a synthetic study of these principles in their main directing lines exclusively, and then I shall speak of the treatment of the psychoneurotic and not of the treatment of the psychoneuroses; for there is no treatment of the psychoneuroses. Landouzy used to insist on this—there is no morbid entity, hence no corresponding treatment.
