ABSTRACT
Since I collaborated with Dr. Hoch in the psychological analysis of his material and elaborating the resultant formulations, and, as editor of his book, wrote the chapter, “Psychological Explanation of the Stupor Reaction”, I can find no better way of presenting our views than by quoting the arguments that appeared there.
