ABSTRACT
MY TASK is to open a discussion on the part that the community should play to ensure satisfactory conditions of life for the normal or average child in the normal or average home and on what the community can do to help such a child. I want to stress particularly the physical side, of which we have more experience, and perhaps we can learn from our mistakes and successes in that field what to do on the psychological side, which is much more difficult from the community point of view.
