ABSTRACT

There have been many surveys of personality, temperament, and character tests. The two most outstanding of these are by G. B. Watson 334 and by P. E. Vernon, 335 while the whole field of personality has been covered by G. W. Allport and P. E. Vernon 336 who devoted, in their thorough report, a lengthy section to experimental methods. The last-mentioned appeared in 1930. Watson’s followed shortly after, in 1932, while Vernon’s, which is the most extensive thus far, was published in 1938.
