You could fill a book with examples of bad English taken from newspapers and magazines. Indeed Harry Blamires, a retired English teacher and literary critic, claims to do this in Correcting your English (Bloomsbury 1996), though some of his rulings are a bit pedantic and in places he is himself mistaken. (For example, he says that ‘none’ must be followed by a singular verb – see House style, pp. 25-6.)
