ferrometal is a European firm which engages in iron- and steel-making from blast-furnace operation to a variety of fabricated products sold to industrial customers. ferrometal's growth in various directions has been mainly through acquisition of other companies, each with production units covering certain stages of the fabrication process. The general managers of subsidiary companies and the plant managers thus usually had responsibility for various product lines.
