ABSTRACT
On 13 June in Kassel, during the theatre festival which ran in tandem with the contemporary art exhibition Documenta 8, Kantor mounted the world pre-première of his “Cricotage with dolls, carvings, objects, and machinery”, The Machine of Love and Death. After two performances in five days, the Cricotage was repeated in Milan … and played ten times.
