ABSTRACT
If the industrial revolution tends to save on unskilled labor relative to skills and machines, then it follows that, as technical progress quickens, the pace of labor saving will rise as well. The relative displacement of unskilled labor may accelerate over time, fostering rising inequality on the upswing of the Kuznets curve.
