Historical Business Records in Private Hands Surveyed by the National Register of Archives (Scotland)

The Secretary of the Register, who does the actual work of compilation, is responsible to a small Directorate representing Scottish record interests generally; and a close liaison is maintained with the Scottish Record Office, where the surveys of the Register are kept. The staff of the Record Office have been of great assistance to the Secretary in building up the Register to its present sizeable proportions.
