ABSTRACT

The objective of the strategy of the lateral project is to mobilise players to act on behalf of the project. When dealing with complex and sensitive projects, among the first casualties are the facts. In order to have a sensitive project, one must first have a courageous person who initiates it. The first courageous act is to have a rational argument on the way to attaining the objective. The second courageous act is to accept that it is necessary to rethink the original project in line with the energy the allies are ready to put into it. The art of managing sensitive projects does not boil down to the art of consensus. The globalisation of behaviours misleads one on reality and consequently provokes true conflicts. To solve conflicts, one must not seek to negotiate with groups, one must seek a lateral project which will allow the mobilisation of allies from both camps.
