ABSTRACT
In the first chapter, I described the general directions this society has taken. I employed key concepts such as freedom to analyze the ideological dynamics that underpin these directions. In this and the next chapter, our attention will be more specifically on education-on the educational positions of each of the elements within the groups I identified and on a number of their largely negative effects on schooling here and elsewhere.
