ABSTRACT
Amongst the actresses’ films are My Left Foot for which she won an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress, The Field, Utz, Home Alone II, So I Married an Axe Murderer, A Man of No Importance, Moll Flanders, A Time to Kill, Painted Angels, Resurrection Man, Pete's Meteor, The American, and Durango. Her work for television has included a long running role on the series Casualty, and leading roles in the specials The Ballroom of Romance, The House o f Bernarda Alba and Licking Hitler, several mini-series: The Brides o f Christ, The Sound and the Silence, and A Woman of Independent Means. Fricker has also appeared in the television film of Lynda LaPlante’s Seekers, in Hallmark Hall of Fame’s The Journey, and the ABC movie of the week, Resurrection.
