ABSTRACT
On the MIR account there are two possible ways to account for apparent mismatches between syntax and phonology. Both of these methods assume that mismatches are not real mismatches, but are rather created by a misunderstanding of the syntax. In this section I show that certain mismatches may be accounted for with a more elaborated version of the syntax.
