ABSTRACT
Over the last 30 years there has been a tremendous boom in establishing sea schools in the UK. Many of the training schemes associated with them are administered by the Royal Yachting Association who in many ways have become the world leaders in pioneering water-based training schemes. This chapter provides a guide to the key issues that should be considered when developing or managing sea schools, these issues are provided in bullet points in a series of tables.
