ABSTRACT
This chapter examines controls over the use of land and buildings under statutory law rather than the common law. Whilst not an exhaustive examination of this wide topic, certain statutes which are of importance to professionals working in this field are considered and will provide the basis on which to build more specialized examination of this branch of law.
