ABSTRACT
The role of different short- and long term atmospheric corrosion tests of metals in the service life derivation is discussed. Examples of results of testing on permanent test sites (open air, shelter) and on ad hoc test arrangements on building are given. Importance of localized corrosion effects on components is mentioned. Desing for a new arrangements for testing on permanent test sites is proposed.
