ABSTRACT

The stage of development and prosperity of a nation is usually judged by its structure and level of employment and living standards of all, but especially of women and children. The implementation of new state policies in Vietnam, the commodity economy is expanding; the home and foreign markets for Vietnamese goods and services are broadening; and the private sector mainly in the form of the household economy is thriving in both rural and urban areas. Creating adequate employment opportunities which ensure high income, growth potential, and social improvement is a complex problem in any society. The development of women depends on their integration into the new situation in Vietnam, the diversification of their employment opportunities, and the improvement of their skills, educational level and general knowledge. Women have the opportunities to acquire better jobs with better conditions and income they able to develop their talents, improve their lives, and assert their rights to equality in the home and in society.
