ABSTRACT
0. In the following paper we would like to present some statistical data, accompanied by examples and conclusions based on the analysis of the formal aspects of Badīʿ al-Zamān al-Hamadhānī’s Maqāmāt. The text used was basically that of the edition of Shaykh Muḥammad ʿAbduh, the more complete Istanbul edition having been relied on in three passages which were left out by ʿAbduh for moral reasons. 1
