ABSTRACT
A city is a place where human beings are constantly travelling, whether they are locals wandering within its walls or outsiders just passing through. Taking an "area" to be a space outlined by human mobility of whatever kind, a city contains countless areas within itself and, at the same time, constitutes an intersecting point for these areas of infinite variety. How then can we observe human mobility within and beyond a city in the past?
