ABSTRACT
The prices tabulated are assumed to include carriage charges throughout. This item is recorded separately from the price in 1659-63 at from 4s. to 4s. 8d. per load. An entry at 7s. per load in 1566, “ carried by our own cart from Burnham,” is omitted with an entry of 6s. for 5 qrs. ; delivered rates at 9s.-10s. per load suggest that carriage was about 3s. per load in this year. An entry at 6s. per load in 1577 is also omitted as excluding carriage.
