Mutton was also bought for the Election dinners, equalling some 10-12 stone to about 1751 and thereafter some 6-8 stone. I t is so described. Prices are recorded for six early years (1650, 4.30s. and 4.47s. ; 1651, 3.33s., 1689, 2.67s. ; 1692, 3.33s. ; 1695, 3.33s. ; 1696, 3s. and 2.83s. per stone) before the beginning of the table. 2 vague entries in 1777-88 are ignored.
