ABSTRACT
The Akan postulate of Onyame, the first of the universals, is the conception of a primary sensed reality embracing the totality of being. This characteristic nature of Onyame is forcibly brought out in the creation ditty cited atp. 64. There we learnt that he was Hearing (’Te or Ote).
