Technology Transfer from North to South

The continued transfer of inappropriate technologies - large-scale and capital-intensive - from North to South can only exacerbate the South’s problems. What is needed is a major expansion of the work of developing and helping to introduce appropriate technologies - small, simple, capital-saving and non-violent - of the kind described in this paper. The technologies of the North are also inherently unsustainable, and require drastic revision.
