To complete this study we present a brief summary of the main findings and conclusions.

(1) The Second Gulf War, a traumatic event for Israel, must not be swept under the carpet, but rather must be exhaustively studied in order to learn military and political lessons. This is essential for Israel for two reasons: (a) to enable appropriate policies and strategies to be formulated in the light of the lessons of the war, and (b) in order to read developments concerning post-war Iraq properly, especially the residual threat still emanating from that country.
