ABSTRACT
Many conclusions of various kinds have been presented in the literature on operation Zitadelle, concerning, for example, the effectiveness of the Soviet anti-tank defences, the role of the tank as an offensive weapon and the ability of other weapons to destroy tanks. Also discussed are the skills of the opposing forces and the role of air power.
