KOPETS (Brigade Commander, Commander of the 8th Army's air force): Comrades, we forced the Finns to their knees. They were defeated because we launched bombs and shells in sufficient quantities. We did not give them a minute's respite. Daytime railway traffic was practically paralysed. The Finns were afraid to appear on the roads in daytime. I must say that credit is due to our air force. It compelled the Finns to curtail daytime transportation and move at night only.
