Rural Migrants in Urban China: Willing Workers, Invisible Residents by Kenneth D. Roberts This essay deals with the rural migrant in urban China. These migrant labourers are usually employed by the dynamic domestic and foreign enterprises in China. The contribution examines the conditions of their employment, state policy and residents' attitudes towards migrant workers in urban areas, and the effect of this policy on their integration in the city.
