ABSTRACT

Excel worksheet can hold a very large amount of data. Summarising data in such a large sheet can be simplified with the use of Pivot Tables, which can be set up with the Pivot Table Wizard. One can experiment with changes in the rate of interest, reversionary rent, etc. to test the resulting valuation. The Goal Seek command which examined is a very useful and convenient method for adjusting one variable to give the target result. A data table provides functionality, if users wish to see the effect of several combinations of two different variables on the result. Before initiate this function users need to set up a matrix. This will state the value users want to find for each combination of variables, and then the combination of variables themselves. A common method of approaching a problem where inputs are uncertain is the use of scenarios.
