ABSTRACT

The process described in Chapter 5 for the development of instructional materials may be followed by individuals working on their own or within a course team environment. However, there is much to be gained from individuals working together in course teams. Appropriate experts can be invited to take part in the development process, not only to develop materials themselves, but also to interact with one another on the development of new ideas and to provide each other with feedback on the materials produced at each stage. Working together in course teams subjects individuals to new constraints and new demands, and it is important to be aware of these before getting too deeply involved in course team work.
