ABSTRACT
In this chapter we consider what choice and change mean for the lives and identities of another group of young people in our cohort. Here, we draw upon the narratives of four of the young women who are now mothers: Gillian, Carlene, Gabrielle and Mehalet. So far, only these four young women from our sample have had children. One young man became a father at 15.
