ABSTRACT
Despite the obvious similarities, coaching high school basketball in the new century is different from coaching the sport thirty, twenty, or even ten years ago. Those of us who played the sport in the 1980s, 1970s, and before, remember the idea that the coach was unquestionably the boss and the things that he said or did were just simply the way things were.
